Exodus Summary

The Book of Exodus is the second book in the Old Testament. The book tells the story of the exodus of the children of Israel out of Egypt. This narration, otherwise known the story of Moses, is one of the most famous of the Bible. Moses leads the chosen people of Israel through the wilderness to Mount Sinai. There are trials for the people of Israel as they travel across the desert – but God provides for them.

Once Moses led the people to Mount Sinai God, through Moses, gave the Hebrew people their laws and enters into a covenant with them. In this covenant He promises to give them the land of Canaan (the \"Promised Land\") in return for their faithfulness.
