Lauren Daigle And Megan Danielle Sing ‘Thank God I Do’ Duet On Idol Finale

An American Idol finalist put on a dazzling performance as she sang a duet with the popular and massively talented Lauren Daigle.

From the first moments of her initial audition for American Idol, it was clear that Megan Danielle was musically gifted. During that first audition, the young woman from Douglasville, Georgia sang Lauren’s massive hit “You Say.” However, things did not go according to plan. Early in her audition, Megan received an unexpected visitor. Lauren actually walked into the room during the audition and sang along.

On the season finale, the two singers joined forces once again. However, unlike their first duet, this one was planned. In a clip posted on YouTube, Megan walks out onto the stage at about the 1:15-minute mark and joins Lauren.

Lauren and Megan then sing a moving rendition of “Thank God I Do.” It’s an awe-inspiring performance where both musicians showcase the strength and tones of their voices. While Lauren is the more polished and professional-sounding performer, given her years producing hit music, Megan holds her own.

Megan’s southern drawl perfectly complements Lauren, making their duet one of the real highlights of American Idol’s season finale episode. The studio audience erupts with a thunderous round of applause at the conclusion of their wonderful performance. The two young women share a loving embrace at the song’s end.

Even though Megan did finish second to Iam Tongi, the future for her in the world of music is bright. She consistently gave the judges, the studio audience and those watching at home plenty of reason to tune in. Her beautiful vocals and selection of Christian music made for performances that won her millions of votes and fans.

This likely will not be the last time audiences hear the name, Megan Danielle. She could likely go out on tour and sell out a number of venues across the country right now.

James 5:13 “Is any among you suffering? Let him pray. Is any cheerful? Let him sing praises.”
