Extras Flood The Set With Zero CGI As Jesus Feeds The 5,000 In Scene From ‘The Chosen’

A scene, which included thousands of extras, from the wildly popular television series The Chosen shows Jesus performing one of his many miracles, feeding the 5,000.

During Jesus Christ’s time on earth, the New Testament mentions that He traveled all over teaching, and preaching to the masses. Nearly everywhere He went, people followed in large, massive numbers. Most wanted to hear and learn from Him. Others desired a miracle, hoping to receive His healing touch for themselves or a loved one.

One of those miracles included in the second half of the Bible is Jesus feeding the thousands of people who wanted to hear and learn from Him. After much worry and anxiety, the disciples learned that all they had was five loaves of bread and two fish – not nearly enough to feed a crowd of thousands. But as anyone knows, little is much when God is in it.

The clip posted on YouTube mentions that there are actually 5,000 humans in the scene. No computer graphics or camera tricks were used in the scene to fool the viewer. The video’s description adds that 10,000 people came out to help film the scene depicting Jesus’ miracle.

The way in which the scene is shot helps to highlight the large crowd. Several times, the camera captures wide, expansive shots of the group sitting on the ground eagerly and attentively listening to Jesus Christ.

As the scene progresses, Jesus and his disciples confer on what to do and how they must feed the people. Everyone understands they need food, but not enough food is available.

But knowing that all they have is bread and fish, Jesus takes it and blesses the food, saying a prayer. The baskets are nearly overflowing only seconds later, filled to the brim with bread and fish. The disciples are astonished as they share baffled looks with one another.

John 6:35 “And This was the answer of Jesus: ‘I am the bread of life. He who comes to me will never be in need of food, and he who has faith in me will never be in need of drink.’”
