Rachel Hale’s Heartfelt ‘Just Breathe (Daddy’s Song)’ Honors Fathers
Multi-genre singer/songwriter Rachel Hale stopped by the CCM Café and performed her latest single, “Just Breathe (Daddy’s Song).” The recently released track captures the essence of a father’s love, wisdom and unwavering support through life’s highs and lows.
Life is a series of unexpected events. While we may be able to handle some of the situations and circumstances that life throws our way, others will be more difficult to maneuver. Often, those unforeseen situations leave us searching for answers, guidance and direction on how to proceed. Many of these situations will result in utter confusion and befuddlement.
However, thankfully, the Lord put a system in place – the family – for these very situations. Children, especially as they grow and begin to navigate through life, will rely on people for advice and direction. One of those trusted individuals the Lord places in our lives is our earthly fathers or some other father-type figure.
In the clip above, Rachel gives a stunning performance of a tune she mentioned that she specifically wrote for her father and Father’s Day. The beautiful lyrics paint a wonderful picture of a loving and wisdom-dispensing father.
Near the song's end, Rachel sings a verse that mentions trusting in and waiting upon our Heavenly Father and His perfect timing.
“If you look for the silver lining
It’s there you’ll find your strength
Don’t rush God; just trust His timing
Hold on tight; don’t lose your faith”
Fathers, biological or men who assume the role of a father, are special people. They are always there with a warm hug or ready to wipe the tears from your face. They also often share knowledge and words of wisdom that can be taken with you throughout your life.
Praise God that He loved us enough to put these extraordinary men in our lives.
Proverbs 23:22 “Give ear to your father whose child you are, and do not keep honor from your mother when she is old.”
