As we read scripture, we generally ask ourselves how this scripture applies in our lives or what is the writer is trying to express. When we study scripture in this way, we can place additional context on what we are reading. But our knowledge is limited to our background, our culture, and our perception of the world. What would these same scriptures mean to someone from a different culture, a different ethnicity, or a different worldview?
