I tell my kids this until the day they leave the home. When we become disgruntled over petty things like weather, fairness, or material possessions, our remembrance of what true blessings are has slipped far from our focus. We use the word blessings so freely and loosely in our culture today, and yet do we truly understand what it means to live the blessed life?

Perhaps we overcomplicate the Christian life and make it more about comfort and blessings for our needs or what we deserve. When was the last time you thought about what it truly means to be blessed? Listen to today's episode from September McCarthy, from Matthew 5:3-12.
