Hope for Women with Father Wounds
Kia StephensGod the Father Is Accessible

There is something so comforting about the fact that we do not have to wait to commune with God. He is always accessible to us, always ready to listen to us. All we have to do is quiet ourselves and talk to him exactly as we are. He is not too busy, not too important and not too preoccupied to stop and commune with us.
Even our best friends and closest family members can’t be there for us the way God can. This is especially true when our fathers were inaccessible or completely absent. Maybe the lesson you took from that was that you had yourself to depend on. But God is there for you and you can always, always depend on him.
We’ll take a closer look at this principle in the story of Joshua 10.

A Prayer for Unity in the Church This Christmas - Your Daily Prayer - December 22
It’s easy to take offense when someone hurts you, or you’re frustrated with where you are in life, and it seems as though everyone around you is thriving. But, when we take an honest look at ourselves and see how God loves us (1 Corinthians 13), we realize we have no right to hold any grudges against our brothers and sisters.
