Top 10 Seventh Day Slumber Songs

Seventh Day Slumber is one of the best Christian rock bands out there.  The lead singer, Joseph Rojas, has an incredible testimony of going from drugs and attempted suicide to a life with Christ as his Lord and Savior.  The songs this band writes focus on real issues happening today such as: drugs, alcohol and abuse.  This is why I love them so much.  There are a lot of hurting people out there, and Seventh Day Slumber is trying to connect with people to tell them about Jesus.  Here is my list of Seventh Day Slumber’s top 10 songs.

10. Missing Pages – Album: Finally Awake

This song deals with a person suffering from an addiction.  They have shut themselves out from everyone and they feel like no one understands them.  The singer is pleading with this person to give it to God because God does understand this person and He loves them.

Favorite Lyric – “There's so much more; this is not the end.  It's all in your hands; don't throw it away.  A beautiful life with so much to give; the image of God underneath your skin.”

9. Caroline – Album: Once Upon A Shattered Life

The lyrics are very heartfelt on this song.  It is sung from God’s perspective.  God is calling to Caroline, telling her that He wants to give her life and bring her home.

Favorite Lyric – “And when you're feeling all alone and you can't go on, remember I am here.  And when you think you've gone too far, I'll meet you where you are.  My arms are open wide.”

8. Brand New Man – Album: Once Upon A Shattered Life

This is a testimony of a man who struggles with forgetting God when he is focused on himself.  He remembers when He first met God and is glad to say that he will never be the same.

Favorite Lyric – “And I'm not looking back.  My past is far behind me, yeah.  I'm stronger every day.  You've made me a brand new man.”

7. Wasted Life – Album: The Anthem of Angels

This is another testimony of how God found a lost man and brought him home.  He was on a broken road wasting his life, but God drew him in and saved him.

Favorite Lyric – “When there was no way out, You found me in the darkest place.  Just as I start to fade I hear your voice.  It's calling me, saying, ‘You are not alone.  I'm here to break these chains and take you home.’”

6. I Know – Album: Picking Up The Pieces

This song deals with a person wanting to commit suicide.  The singer is pleading with them to see how much Jesus loves them because he died on the cross for them.

Favorite Lyric – “And I say look at Jesus' hands.  Those scars are there for you.  You know He understands what you're going through.”

5. Addicted To My Pain – Album: The Anthem of Angels

This song is sung from a man who is searching for answers.  He is crying out to God, wondering if God can break the chains he is carrying.

Favorite Lyric – “Take this guilt, this bitter rage keeping me locked in chains.  Can You heal my heart?  Can You take this pain?  Will You wash away all these things?”

4. My Only Hope – Album: Finally Awake

This song is about a man who has hit rock-bottom and is crying out to God.

Favorite Lyric – “So I can pray this all will end.  Take it a million miles away.  I can't go through this again.  You're my only hope.”

Bonus:  This song has an awesome solo in it!

3. From The Inside Out – Album: Take Everything

This is Seventh Day Slumber’s version of the popular praise song.  This song is a plea for God to consume us from the inside out so we can do His will.  It is a beautiful reminder that no matter how many times we fail, we are still His children.  He still loves us!

Favorite Lyric – “Everlasting, Your light will shine when all else fades.  Never-ending, Your glory goes beyond all fame.  And the cry of my heart is to bring You praise from the inside out, Lord my soul cries out.”

2. Chris’ Letter – Album: Once Upon A Shattered Life

This is a two-fold song.  “Chris” is at rock-bottom and is crying out to God.  Also, he wonders if anyone else even realizes that there is something wrong inside of him.”

Favorite Lyric – “They say every drop of blood meant something and every ounce He shed was shed for me.  Here I am.  I'm waiting for You, crying out. I've fallen to my knees.”

"The Truth" (Psalm 14:1) The fool says in his heart, “There is no God.” They are corrupt, they do abominable deeds, there is none who does good.

1. Always – Album: Finally Awake

This will always be my favorite song by them.  This song is sung by Joseph Rojas (lead vocalist) to his own son.  It is a beautiful song about how much he loves his son and how he wants his son to never forget that Jesus is his strength.

Favorite Lyric – “I will dream of you tonight.  I’ll pray to God to bless your life, always, always.  And as you grow and start to change, I will love you just the same, always, always.  And when you feel like giving up, I will walk you through the pain.  And when you feel like life's too much, remember Jesus is your strength.”

If you have kids, you can definitely relate to this song!

These are my top 10 favorite songs by Seventh Day Slumber.  What ones would you have put in this list?  God bless you!
