Christian Children’s Songs: 22 Great Ones for Kids

I still remember my favorite Bible school teachers singing children’s Bible songs (as they called them), and I grew attached to many of them. I’m sure it was a pleasure for my parents hearing me sing them over and over and over just like a merry-go-round. It’s refreshing to hear little kids sing my favorites during Sunday school.

Here are 22 great Christian children’s songs:

Father Abraham

On the first day God made the light.

He called light "day", and dark-ness "night".

Se-cond day He sep-a-ra-ted wat-ers from on high.

Dare To Be a Daniel

Dare to be a Daniel,

Dare to stand alone;

Dare to have a purpose firm,

Dare to make it known!

Give Me Oil in My Lamp

Give me oil in my lamp, keep it burning

Give me oil in my lamp I pray

Give me oil in my lamp, keep it burning

Keep it burning till the light of day

There’s nothing my God cannot do!

He made the trees, He made the seas;

He made the elephants, too!

My God is so big, so strong and so mighty!

There’s nothing my God cannot do!

"The Truth" Joshua 6:20 “So the people shouted, and the trumpets were blown. As soon as the people heard the sound of the trumpet, the people shouted a great shout, and the wall fell down flat, so that the people went up into the city, every man straight before him, and they captured the city.”

Zacchaeus

Zacchaeus was a wee little man

And a wee little man was he

He climbed up in a sycamore tree

For the Lord he wanted to see

And as the Savior passed that way

He looked up in that tree

And He said,

“Zacchaeus, you come down! For I’m going to your house today

For I’m going to your house to stay”
