10 Good Christian Songs For A Bad Day

We all have bad days and many times it’s because of a few short moments or fear that has consumed us. You are not alone and God will find a way to reach out to you. Do you feel uplifted and encouraged after going to church? A main aspect of church is the song service and it’s a blessing for many reasons. Many Christian artists have written songs about the hopelessness that comes with a bad day or a bad season. They are full of the hope that we as Christians find through a relationship with Christ.

Here are 10 good Christian songs for a bad day.

10. Steady My Heart by Kari Jobe

Favorite Lyrics

Even when it hurts

Even when it's hard

Even when it all just falls apart

I will run to You

'Cause I know that You are

Lover of my soul

Healer of my scars

You steady my heart

9. The Light Will Come by Phil Wickham

Favorite Lyrics

To the one with the wounded heart

The years of fighting have left you scarred

Wait, the light will come

To the one with distant eyes

All this crying has left you dry

Wait, the light will come

Wait, the light will come

8. Build Your Kingdom Here by Rend Collective

Favorite Lyrics

We seek Your kingdom first.

We hunger and we thirst.

Refuse to waste our lives

for You're our joy and prize.

To see the captive hearts released.

The hurt, the sick, the poor at peace.

We lay down our lives for Heaven's cause.

7. History by Matthew West

Favorite Lyrics

Yesterday is history And history is miles away

So, leave it all behind you

But let it always remind you of the day

The day that love made history

You know you can't stay right where you fell

The hardest part is forgiving yourself

But let's take a walk into today

And don't let your past get in the way

6. Get Back Up Again by TobyMac

Favorite Lyrics

We lose our way,

We get back up again

It's never too late to get back up again,

One day you will shine again,

You may be knocked down,

But not out forever,

Lose our way,

We get back up again,

So get up, get up,

You gonna shine again,

Never too late to get back up again,

You may be knocked down,

But not out forever

(May be knocked down but not out forever)

5. Sooner or Later by Matt Kearney

Favorite Lyrics

Sooner or later I swear we're gonna make it, we're gonna make it,

Sooner or later I swear we're gonna make it, we're gonna make it

Milk and honey till we get our fill

I'll keep chasing it I always will

Sooner or later I swear

We'll make it there

Sooner than later

4. All The People Said Amen by Matt Maher

Favorite Lyrics

You are not alone if you are lonely

When you're feeling frail, you're not the only

We are all the same in need of mercy

To be forgiven and be free

It's all you got to lean on

But thank God it's all you need

And all the people said Amen, whoa oh

And all the people said Amen

Give thanks to the Lord for His love never ends

And all the people said Amen

3. Your Grace Find Me by Matt Redman

Favorite Lyrics

It’s there on a wedding day

There in the weeping by the graveside

There in the very breath we breathe

Your great grace

The same for the rich and poor

The same for the saint and for the sinner

Enough for this whole wide world

Your great grace

Oh such grace

2. Before the Morning by Josh Wilson

Favorite Lyrics

Maybe, there are things you can't see

And all those things are happening

To bring a better ending

Some day, some how, you'll see, you'll see

Would dare you, would you dare, to believe,

That you still have a reason to sing,

'cause the pain you've been feeling,

Can't compare to the joy that's coming

1. Lift Me Up by The Afters

Favorite Lyrics

You know my heart is heavy

And the hurt is deep

But when I feel like giving up

You're reminding me

That we all fall down sometimes

But when I hit the ground

You lift me up when I am weak

Your arms wrap around me

Your love catches me so I'm letting go

You lift me up when I can't see

Your heart is all that I need

Your love carries me so I'm letting go

"The Truth" 1 Thessalonians 5:18 “give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.”
