Woman Seeks Lost Wedding Ring on Facebook, It's Found in Stranger's Shopping Bag

Cindy Tristani is one grateful girl after a social media post led to the return of her lost wedding ring!

While diamonds may not really be a girl’s best friend, they are often special to us. Sure, the material value of the bobble is important, but the sentimental value makes these gems particularly meaningful. So, when a cashier at the Uniontown, Pennsylvania, Burlington Coat Factory lost her diamond wedding ring during her shift, she was frantic and desperate to find it!

Cindy Tristani Was Busy Ringing Up Customers When She Lost Her Ring

Ms. Tristani was busy ringing up customers when she noticed that her ring was no longer on her finger. She shared with WPXI-TV, “I just looked down and I’m like, ‘Oh my gosh, my ring is gone!’ We tore the place apart. Everyone helped me, my boss came out, we looked all over the floor [and in] the garbage. I was crying. Couldn’t find it.”

Cindy posted a plea for help on the Fayette County What’s Going On Facebook group in a last-ditch effort. She wrote, “This is a long shot but if anyone was shopping at Burlington Uniontown today, I think my diamond ring might have fell in someone’s bag, so if you find it I would be so grateful if you could bring it to the store.”

Though Cindy wasn’t hopeful, she said a quick prayer before returning to work. Remembering her late mother’s knack for finding anything that was lost, along with the fact that the March day happened to be her mother’s birthday, Cindy asked Mom for help. She prayed, “Mom, please help me find this ring.”

Cait Giles Checked Her Bags

Cait Giles had been shopping in Burlington that day and was checking Facebook as her husband drove them home. She saw Cindy’s post and immediately asked her husband to pull over. Cait was headed home with two bags that day—a big one and a small one. She checked the big one and found nothing except the purchase she’d made. Then, she checked the small bag. She pulled out the sunglasses she’d bought, returned them to the bag, and heard “a clink.”

Sure enough, it was the lost ring!

The couple drove back to Burlington, and Cait ran into the store, excited to return Cindy’s ring. “It made my heart so full to give the ring back,” Cait told WPXI. “It was the best moment — one of the best moments of my life.”

Cindy now has her ring back with the help of God, her momma, Cait, and Facebook!

A Prayer for Those Who Accept Christ This Christmas - Your Daily Prayer - December 24

The fact is, all around us, there are many people, for many reasons, who are searching for Christ this Christmas. We may not see the choir of angels around us, but the heavenly host still proclaims Christ’s birth. It occurs all around us.
