There have been many awesome Christian movies in recent years that are both entertaining and deliver a great message. If you are looking for family-friendly films offering a positive influence check out the top 15 Christian movies of all time.

15. Flywheel

Jeff Stone (played by Jansen Barnes) is the typical dishonest car salesman and only cares about making money. This life is not rewarding and he finds himself in conflict with his wife and employees about the tactics used in manipulating customers. He begins a journey to change all this and become the car salesman God intended him to be.

14. What If

What if you had the chance to see life going down a different path? Successful businessman Ben Walker (played by Kevin Sorbo) finds himself in a small town as a preacher is who married with two daughters. He is also broke and fighting God to get back to corporate America. Ben finally realizes that his life is not so bad and this realization leads to huge changes once he’s back to his old life.

13. Redemption Ride

Competitive and successful cyclist Colter Reese took trying to win too far when he began taking performance-enhancing drugs. After getting caught and losing everything, he is given a chance at redemption and the possibility of winning a huge monetary prize. He must race a thousand miles and winning would mean being able to cover the expenses of a life-saving operation for his son.

12. Unconditional

Samantha Crawford (played by Lynn Collins) was happily married with her life on track when her husband was killed in a think less crime. She happens to be in shady neighborhood when she recognizes the man whom she thinks killed her husband. Remarkably, her old childhood friend, Joe Bradford (played by Michael Ealy), lives in the neighborhood and works with disadvantaged children after turning his life around. The two work in seeking justice and helping Samantha rebuild her faith in the process.

11. Faith Like Potatoes

Angus Buchan (played by Frank Rautenbach) takes his family to Africa to build a new life and he feels like everything he tries only fails. He finally realizes that the only way to overcome the constant, daily struggles is to give his life to Christ and put all his faith in God.

10. October Baby

Hannah (played by Rachel Hendrix) thought she was just a normal teenager experiencing the stresses of her first year of college until she has a seizure. Her medical history is critical to understand so her parents finally tell her that they adopted her as an infant after she survived a failed abortion. Hannah is sure that if she meets her birth mother she will be accepted. The truth almost destroys her, but also sets her free.

9. The Letter Writer

Teenager Maggy Fuller’s life is challenging as her mother is always working in order to pay the bills. Maggy (played by Aley Underwood) begins making a string of poor decisions until she randomly receives a heartfelt letter about how amazing she is from a stranger. She finds the letter writer and is surprised to learn it’s an old gentleman. Her life changes as she begins to learn the art of writing letters.

8. Believe in Me

Clay Driscoll (played by Jeffrey Donovan) has always dreamed of becoming an inspirational and successful basketball coach. How it happened was far different than he could have ever imagined. His chance came in coaching a girl’s basketball team in the tiny town of Middleton, Oklahoma. The girls on the team didn’t even take the opportunity seriously until Coach Clay showed that he believed in them.

7. Facing the Giants

Grant Taylor (played by Alex Kendrick) is a high school football coach that constantly loses in more areas than just football. He begins digging deep, praying, searching for answers and facing the giants of fear that have disabled his life. His new approach is to always praise God and he starts changing how his team approaches each game.

6. Fireproof

Do you know what it takes to turn a marriage around? Caleb Holt (played by Kirk Cameron) is a firefighter that risks his life to save others while his marriage to Catherine (played by Erin Bethea) is nearly dead. They are set on divorce when Caleb’s father challenges him to take the Love Dare.

5. Courageous

Adam Mitchell (played by Alex Kendrick) is a police officer in a small town who is unconnected with his kids. His daughter Emily is killed in a tragic accident and it makes him realize how he has been lacking as a father. This leads to starting an agreement with other police officers that are fathers to truly learn God’s intent for fathers and hold each other accountable.

4. The Passion of the Christ

Mel Gibson’s The Passion of the Christ has stayed on the top Christian movie lists since coming out in 2004. It portrays the final hours of Christ’s life in a way that has not been created in a movie before or since.

3. Grace Unplugged

Grace Trey is the daughter of famous musician Johnny Trey, but she would love to be disconnected from his name in order to pursue her music career the way she wants to. She runs away to become successful, but learns the hard way that she can truly have it all if she relies on God. This moving story will inspire and motivate you to put your relationship with God first.

2. Letters to God

Eight-year-old Tyler Doherty (played by Tanner MaGuire) is a special boy with cancer who writes letters to God. The neighborhood mailman picks up the letters everyday takes an extended leave. Brady McDaniels (played by Jeffrey Johnson) is a young fill in is struggling in life and it’s left up to him on what happens to the letters. He ends up reading them and it helps him find the courage to change his life around.

1. God’s Not Dead

College student Josh Wheaton (played by Shane Harper) is challenged by Professor Radisson (played by Kevin Sorbo) to prove that God’s not dead. He loses his girlfriend, his parents tell him to leave it alone and he faces a possible failing grade if he debates his professor. The rules change in Professor Radisson’s favor, but God’s hand is at work. The Newsboys perform near the end of the film when a shocking turn of events takes place.
