S.M. Lockridge Describes Jesus In 'That's My King' And His Famous Sermon Is Just As True Today

S.M. Lockridge, the Pastor of Calvary Baptist Church, was known for preaching all over the country. ‘That’s My King’ is one of his most famous sermons. And this special speech declaring Jesus as King has truly stood the test of time.

One of the most famous lines from this powerful sermon is when Lockridge describes God in a number of different ways. He says He's the King of Righteousness, the King of the Ages, the King of Heaven, the King of Glory, the King of Kings, and He's the Lord of Lords.

There is truly no one like our Lord and Savior in Heaven above. He has given us so many blessings in this life and we could go on and on about His many wonderful traits.

S.M. Lockridge Delivers A Sermon For The Ages

This pastor spent over six minutes passionately talking about our Lord. And it’s one of those sermons that will truly set your soul on fire.

Just like Lockridge says, "My King is a sovereign King. No means of measure can define His limitless love."

What a perfect reminder of how amazing our God truly is. There is no limit to His power or love for us. God will always stand by our side, no matter what. What a blessing to be able to call Him our Father for all of our days.

"He's the greatest phenomenon that ever crossed the horizon of this world," Lockridge proclaims. "He's God's Son, He's a sinner's Savior -- He's the centerpiece of civilization."

It is said Lockridge delivered this sermon in Detroit in 1976. Yet, his powerful declaration is as true today as it was then. And that's because, just as we read in Hebrews 13:8, Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever! Who else is yelling amen right now?
