Teen Working At Kroger Jumps In To Help Elderly Man

It happened when Teo overheard a conversation at the checkout between a cashier and a senior citizen.

The cashier told the elderly man he didn't have enough money to cover the groceries in his order. And without the slightest hesitation, Teo Jordan reached into his own wallet.

“I just seen [sic] I wanted to help the guy," Teo said of the random act of kindness. "I saw that he didn’t have the money for all the groceries that he wanted. The cashier told him he would have to put some of the things back, so I just thought in my head I would give him this $35 so he could have all the food that he wants.”

The teen working at Kroger didn't think anything of his act of kindness. After all, he believes you should "just treat people how you want to be treated -- always help out if somebody needs it."

But Teo's good deed awed others, as well as left his proud mom "overwhelmed with joy."

Teo Jordan didn't expect or want a big fuss made over his kind deed. But in these difficult times, inspiring short stories like these are just what we need to hear. And Teo has some good advice for all of us.
