An Uninvited Guest Shows Up At Wedding, Then Goes Home With Bride And Groom
Normally, it's considered very poor etiquette to turn up at a wedding without an invitation. But this bride and groom didn't mind one bit when a stray dog wandered into the wedding ceremony. In fact, they welcomed their unexpected guest with open arms! godupdates stray dog wandered into the wedding and found forever home 2 Credit: Felipe Paludetto Fotografo

Stray Dog Wandered Into The Wedding

Marília Pieroni and Matheus Gomes Martins of São Paulo, Brazil were hoping for an outdoor wedding. Unfortunately, the weather didn't cooperate. As storms and heavy rains rolled through the area, the couple moved the ceremony into a tent. Folks took one look at his muddy paws, and quickly shooed him back outside. [rsnippet id="3" name="Article-Ad"] So, this persistent pup tried a different tactic. This time, as the entrance music began playing, the stray dog wandered into the wedding ceremony!
"As the ceremony started, to everyone's surprise, it was the dog who came in when the bridal chorus began to play," bride Marília amusingly recalled.
Again, guests ushered the wet dog back outside, and the ceremony continued. But this sweet pooch refused to be deterred!

Things seemed to be back on track. But as Marília and Matheus began reading their vows, the stray dog wandered into the wedding yet again! And third time is definitely the charm, because no one had the heart to kick him back out into the rain again. Once the pup realized he'd made it past "security," he decided to get comfy... real comfy. godupdates stray dog wandered into the wedding and found forever home 1 Credit: Felipe Paludetto Fotografo
"The dog entered and laid down to sleep on my veil," Marília said.
I'm sure there were a few gasps of horror as the wet, muddy dog snuggled into the bride's lacy, white train. But Marília didn't mind one bit. It made the big day even more special.
"It was a very pleasant surprise for me, because I love animals," she said. "I liked it very much."

The newlyweds now considered him family. So much so, they were planning to take him home. But this is where the story takes a Cinderella twist! [/slide]

The Search Is On

At some point during the wedding reception, the mystery dog wandered back outside, disappearing into the night. The newlyweds were heartbroken. And they refused to give up looking for the dog.
"We decided to adopt him because he is a street dog," Marília said. "It took us a long time to find him again, but yesterday, we were contacted and told his whereabouts."

And now, the family of three is enjoying their very own happily ever after with their favorite wedding gift!
"We're all very happy," Marília said.
And the couple is using their incredible story to advocate for all the other homeless animals out there.
“Here in Brazil, we have so many abandoned animals living in the street,” the bride said. “We want to make an appeal to people to not buy animals and to adopt them instead.”
We pray for loads of blessings on this beautiful new family! h/t: Huffington Post YOU MAY ALSO LIKE: Bride Has A Very Special 'Something Blue' At Her Wedding godupdates bride's 92-year-old veteran uncle as something blue fb Credit: IMAGECLAIRITY

A Prayer for Unity in the Church This Christmas - Your Daily Prayer - December 22

It’s easy to take offense when someone hurts you, or you’re frustrated with where you are in life, and it seems as though everyone around you is thriving. But, when we take an honest look at ourselves and see how God loves us (1 Corinthians 13), we realize we have no right to hold any grudges against our brothers and sisters.
