Steve Harvey Offers Life-Changing Opportunity to 12-Year-Old Who's Always Been 'Different'

The Steve Harvey Foundation offers a life-changing opportunity to a 12-year-old who’s always been ‘different’, and this act of kindness will warm your heart!

Education has a way of clearing a path for millions of college students who make the choice to attend college every year. However, it can cost upwards of $50,000 to $100,000 to complete a degree. The Steve Harvey Foundation wanted to ease that burden for one truly gifted and blessed boy by the name of Caleb Anderson. And this blessing went viral.

He was given a full ride to Chattahoochee Technical College in Marietta, with plans and funds to continue his education at Georgia Tech.  The Steve & Marjorie Harvey Foundation Scholarship will be sent directly to Caleb’s school and will cover tuition, fees, and books.

The Marietta family revealed the news on their Facebook page.

Blessing Others

And the reason why Caleb is receiving these funds is because he is an 11-year-old prodigy. He could read full books before he could walk. Caleb has always felt different his entire life because of his intelligence.

“Whenever I tell people how old I am and what grade I’m in, I end up being the focus of a lot of attention, and being the focus of a lot of attention does not bother me too much,” he said. “However, I can get nervous sometimes.”

In fact, Caleb’s story has gone viral as being the youngest person in history to enroll in college. That’s how Comedian Steve Harvey took notice.

In fact, Steve is a well-known celebrity and has more wealth than one can imagine. Steve and his wife wanted to share their blessings with others and established the foundation with the goal to, “provide youth outreach services that cultivates the next generation of responsible leaders by providing educational enrichment, mentoring, life transformation skills and global service initiatives.”

Blessing others is something God wants each of us to do when we can, where we can, and however we can. It can be as simple as holding the door for someone, providing groceries, or lifting them up in prayer. A gift of this magnitude will multiply and bless others as Caleb grows up.

A Prayer for Those Who Are Lonely or Isolated This Christmas - Your Daily Prayer - December 23

This Christmas, remember how precious you are to the Creator. Remember that there is nothing you can do or say that would ever separate His presence and love from you. It’s okay to go through Christmas feeling alone and isolated, but make sure you turn to God to fill those feelings of loneliness.
