Imagine someone living in the attic, undetected, for weeks. That is the scary experience one woman in the state of Queensland, Australia can now share.
The mother of three only by chance caught the home intruder when he made a mistake. What was that mistake? He was in the process of cooking chicken nuggets when she happened to come home.

Monica Green, the mother in this story, noticed weird occurrences in her home, but finding chicken nuggets on the stove brought reality home. Someone was in her home! And Monica wouldn’t have found the food being prepared at all, but she happened to return home early one day.
Previously, Monica noticed odd things that occurred. Nothing major, but there were misplaced items, which she had concluded were the children, and her security cameras malfunctioning, which amounted to technical issues. As it turned out, neither of her conclusions were accurate.
In addition to the food prep in progress, Monica discovered that her backdoor was open, the TV was on, and her air conditioner was on, too.
Monica immediately called the police and they arrived quickly afterward. Officers found a partially open entryway into the ceiling and other evidence someone was living inside her attic. Creepy!
“I'm finding myself constantly shaking at the smallest noise. I'm triple-checking all my locks now before I go to bed. I spent the night in the house last night with family here, but being alone in the home scares me,” Monica commented after the incident.
She added, “I felt violated. I felt like my personal space had been invaded. I felt shocked, terrified, scared.”
“What has this person been doing in my house when I'm not home? Were they trying to harm me or my kids? Did they want one of my kids? Were they going to come down at night and murder us? There are all these unknown questions rolling around in my head.”
Her husband has been away for work, and now after the incident, she and her family have lost their sense of safety. Since the incident, Monica has changed the locks and the police investigation is still ongoing.
Thank God that nobody was harmed and that Monica learned about her uninvited houseguest, and was able to take safety precautions!

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Psalms 23:1
