I don’t know about you but nothing mesmerizes me more than an incredible ice skating performance. Especially when it is a skating duo! Well if you want to see mesmerizing, this performance is for you.
Russian figure skating pair Russians Tatiana Volosozhar and Maxim Trankov are some of the best ice skaters in the world, the pair has won National, European, World and Olympic titles. Their routines never fail to captivate audiences. And this routine from an American skating competition is no exception.
The two chose to skate to a piece from Sir Andrew Lloyd Weber’s musical ‘Jesus Christ Superstar.’ And you’ve got to see this! From the very beginning they are so in sync. Every twist and spiral and leap is perfectly timed and synchronized. And every throw seems to be bigger than the last. Just look at them go.
I don’t know much about the technical aspect of competitive figure skating, but even I can tell this performance is something special. Just listening to the commentator’s voices you can hear their excitement as the impressive routine got tougher and more perfect as they went.
How they worked their routine to hit huge tricks at the same time the music mounts to a high point is awesome. Who else couldn’t help but be glued to their screen as they skated? The pair hadn’t even finished and the crowd was already on their feet.
Watching the instant replays at the end where they slowed down the tricks so you could really see the incredible effort that goes into them had me riveted. This is awesome! Who else had to watch it all over again?
