Short Film Beautifully Reminds Us To Focus On Jesus During Christmas

Journey Box Media always as a unique way of communicating the gospel through their online videos. This holiday season they produced a thought-provoking short film about Christmas. The scene of the video is set in a typical American home. At first, all of the Christmas decorations are up and the house is fully festive and decked out in holiday decor. Then, suddenly all of the decorations are taken down except for the baby Jesus. This is done to represent that Jesus should be the focus of the season. The house now looks, lifeless, bare and empty. credit: youtube.com A man's voice then asks a convicting question, "What if we were able to see Jesus in all the traditions?". As he talks, each one of the decorations starts to appear back in the house again. He then goes on to say, "The first Christmas was about God and us. Let's make this Christmas about us with God". credit: youtube.com The man's voice challenges us to see Christ in our children's laughter. As well as in people helping people and families loving each other. His point is that Christ's love is woven throughout our holiday season in the way we love one another. Often times we get too consumed with the presents that we forget about loving people altogether. credit: youtube.com This video reminds us of the true meaning of the Christmas season. Which is to show others the love of Christ through our words and actions. What a creative way to remind us to think of Jesus during the holidays! This inspirational video will really hit home for a lot of us. Great job Journey Box Media!
