People are reaching out to God on behalf of one of the best NASCAR drivers of all time -- race car driver Cale Yarborough.
Life is a precious, precious thing. No one knows what exactly will happen from one minute to the next. No one knows how much time they have on Earth. James 4:14 compares our lives to a “vapor.” It “appears for a little time, and then vanishes away.”

The family of Cale Yarborough is requesting prayers for the NASCAR legend, according to a post on social media. The post goes on to add that Cale is “battling health issues.”
The specific illness the 84-year-old driver is facing has not yet been disclosed. However, John Dodson, the vice president of Business Alliances and NASCAR at Universal Technical Institute, posted that his former boss is “not doing well.”

John then asked fans to keep Cale in their prayers at this time.
The toughest race car driver I ever worked for is not doing well. Please keep Cale Yarborough in your prayers. The Yarbrough family has asked for no phone calls or visits for now. Praying for Cale and the family. @TheSceneVault @LegendsNascar @NASCARHall @NascarHistory

Several responded to the request for Cale. They began posting messages on social seeking God’s healing.
“Thoughts and prayers for three time Winston Cup champion, four time Daytona 500 winner and five time Southern 500 champ Cale Yarborough. Cmon Cale you’re a fighter,” one person posted on Twitter.
“Want to send my thoughts and prayers out to Cale Yarborough and his family,” a second person commented.
“Sending positive thoughts and prayers to Cale Yarborough and his family. I feel fortunate I was able to meet him in 2012 when he was inducted to the @NASCARHall,” a third person added.

Cale compiled 83 wins in his 31-year NASCAR career between 1957 and 1988. He was inducted into the NASCAR Hall of Fame in 2012, according to NASCARHall.
Included in his 83 wins are his four first-place finishes at the Daytona 500. Richard Petty is the only person to have more, with seven wins at Dayton.
May the Lord of peace and healing be with Cale and his family during this difficult time. He is still capable of performing miracles.
