Woman Posted Something On Facebook While Driving And It Claimed Her Life

Her favorite song came on the radio and she just had to post about it.

We've all seen the Public Service Announcements on TV about not using your cell phone while driving. Texting and driving is illegal in 45 states and for good reason. It only takes a blink of an eye for an accident to happen.

This 32-year-old woman made a choice that had a tragic ending. And for that, we're terribly sorry.

Courtney Sanford is like a lot of us - very connected. Connected in life and via social media. She loved posting on her Facebook and used her cell phone regularly. Even when driving.

But, driving is a full-time job already. Requiring our FULL ATTENTION. Please don't make unnecessary calls, texts or posts that could wait just a few more minutes.

On this particular day, Courtney was listening to the radio when her favorite song (and mine too) "Happy" by Pharrell Williams began playing. It's upbeat lyrics and tune, inspired Courtney to post on Facebook “The happy song makes me HAPPY!”

This would be Courtney's last post. Forever.

This tragedy could have been avoided altogether. Please share this with your kids and family members. There is no call, text or post more important than your life. So, when it doubt - PULL OVER. Please.

A Prayer for Those Who Are Lonely or Isolated This Christmas - Your Daily Prayer - December 23

This Christmas, remember how precious you are to the Creator. Remember that there is nothing you can do or say that would ever separate His presence and love from you. It’s okay to go through Christmas feeling alone and isolated, but make sure you turn to God to fill those feelings of loneliness.
