Last year Jon’s daughter Annie disappeared while out hiking and was tragically never found. While they wanted to hold out hope they eventually realized that she had gone home to be with the Lord. So this year with Christmas rolling around Jon and his family are struggling to find the joy and truly celebrate as their family is missing one at the table.

That was when Jon saw a performance by Christian artist Craig Aven called ‘The Sweetest Gift’ The song truly spoke to Jon and his wife and reminded them that while it is okay to hurt and miss Annie, they need to remember that she is celebrating Christmas with Jesus.

So the Piano Guys are teaming up with Craig to perform this incredibly touching Christmas song. And for anyone who is missing someone this Christmas this powerful song will speak to your heart. Listen to these powerful lyrics that may hit awfully close to home:

I'm not gonna lie

Christmas really hurts this time

Cause you're not here to celebrate with me

Tears fill my eyes

The memories flood my mind

As I place your ornament upon our tree

Although this year I have a broken heart

It gives me hope and joy as I remember where you are

You're with the Son of God

You're with the Prince of Peace

You're with the one who's celebrating

And that thought amazes me

Sometimes I still break down

Grieving that we're apart

But the sweetest gift is knowing where you are

You're with the Son of God

Grab your tissues before hitting play on this one. You do not want to miss this incredible performance!
