Pentatonix Tackles Iconic Queen Tune

These incredible singers have gained worldwide recognition for their a cappella covers of many beloved songs like ‘The Sound Of Silence’ and ‘Hallelujah’. And today, they are melding their incredible voices in another viral performance, this time to the classic lyrics of Queen's ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’.

“Is this the real life?

Is this just fantasy?

Caught in a landslide

No escape from reality

Open your eyes

Look up to the skies and see”

Freddie Mercury penned this famous tune for Queen's 1975 album, 'A Night At The Opera.' Since then, the song has been featured in movies and covered by numerous artists. But the Pentatonix a cappella version stands out as one-of-a-kind.

Queen's original version of 'Bohemian Rhapsody' already features an operatic chorus. But there's also plenty of piano and electric guitar adding to the mix. But since a cappella utilizes only the human voice, Pentatonix must recreate the symphonic swell without the use of instruments.

Of course, this talented group does so flawlessly, as usual!

Pentatonix has a knack for picking just the right song to compliment their vocal skills. And they certainly didn't disappoint with 'Bohemian Rhapsody'. In fact, their a cappella rendition has been viewed more than 75 million times online.

What an incredible group of performers!
