One paralyzed groom surprises his bride on their wedding day by standing for their first dance as husband and wife. What an emotional moment!
Ryan Estep became paralyzed from the waist down when he was injured in a car crash during his senior year of high school. It completely changed his entire life. But he did not let this enormous change keep him from going after things that he set his mind to. He decided to take up fencing which eventually led him to compete in the 2012 Paralympic Games. He also works as a motivational speaker and says that mindset is everything when it comes to accomplishing your goals.
"If you think you can, or you can’t, either way, you’re right," he said. "All of the accolades and accomplishments were only possible because of my mindset: to continue to accept the challenge."

But Ryan says his best accomplishment is having his wife, Chandler, fall in love with him. "I had to almost beg her to finally go on a date, but once she finally agreed, it was all she wrote," Ryan shared.
After a year of dating, Ryan took Chandler on a trip where he planned to propose. "I was so excited after hiding the ring from her for three months, I proposed five minutes after we got there," he said.
At their wedding, Ryan had another surprise planned for Chandler. When it came time for the newlywed’s first dance, Ryan stood up with the help of some friends.
"When I saw his friends slide their chairs beside him, I lost it!" shared Chandler. "All I wanted was to wrap around him and dance with him. He completely surprised me, I couldn’t believe what I was seeing."
Ryan also got emotional during the special moment. “When she wrapped her arms around me, the world stopped. I was overwhelmed with emotions," Ryan said. “It truly was the best day of our lives."
