Mom Rushes Infant Son To Hospital After Smart Baby Monitor Alert And It Saved His Life

An owlet smart sock baby monitor saved her baby’s life. Zoe Hazel, a mom to three rushed her infant son, Venture, to hospital after a smart baby monitor alert and it saved his life.

Little baby Venture was born into ‘the van life.’ His mom and dad are noted YouTubers and their life living on the road in their family van is chronicled on the Instagram channel, “The Van Clan.”

Zoe, Garick, Wilder Grey, and Hazel Rae are thankful their newest family member Venture Frey is still breathing and alive. Mom Zoe placed an owlet smart sock baby monitor on baby Venture before she laid him down for the night.

The owlet smart sock baby monitor is the newest generation of technology that is helping to save the lives of babies from SIDS. It uses hospital technology to measure a baby’s heart rate and blood oxygen levels with a wireless sensor that goes into a baby sock. The alarm goes off if a baby’s vitals dip below normal.

Kurt Workman co-founded the company after he was inspired by his aunt who was exhausted from caring for premature twins. Preemies tend to have problems breathing and have a higher chance of being susceptible to SIDS. Wanting to help, Kurt found a way to take the technology in $2,000 oximeters used in hospitals and created the affordable owlet smart sock.

Owlet Smart Sock Baby Monitor Alerts Mom To Trouble

This is what happened with Venture Frey. His owlet smart sock baby monitor alarm went off, alerting his parents to dangerously low vitals. His parents quickly responded and got the help their son needed. Once doctors stabilized Venture Frey in the hospital, they learned he had an upper respiratory infection and the sock likely saved his life.

In this video, Zoe encourages moms to trust their gut when it comes to caring for their children. She also shares the ins and outs of their hospital stay and we get to watch Venture Frey recover, heal, and go home!

Praise God for this little miracle and for the miraculous advances in technology. It’s a beautiful reminder God will always protect us and he is always with us.
