“Miracles do happen. I am just so happy that we didn't give up on her,” Hallie’s mother, Danielle Wiebusch, said.
From the moment Danielle discovered she was pregnant, her journey became one of both excitement and apprehension. At first, she was preparing to say goodbye to the precious soul she would never get to meet because her doctors assumed she would miscarry.
Danielle’s baby was already showing signs of trouble at ten weeks of pregnancy. The news of her baby girl's condition, diagnosed during a routine ultrasound, filled her heart with fear. Doctors warned of the challenges ahead, preparing the Wiebusch family for the worst.
But in the face of adversity, Danielle and her husband Hunter refused to succumb to despair. Instead, they turned to their faith, finding solace in believing that a God was guiding their path and cradling their daughter in his arms.
Despite the uncertainty looming over them, they embraced their daughter's life with unwavering love and determination. With each passing moment, they found strength in His promises, trusting in His divine plan even when the path ahead seemed shrouded in darkness.
In the quiet moments of prayer and reflection, they discovered a glimmer of hope and a beacon of light amidst the shadows, reminding them that God's love for their child surpassed their own. His miraculous power was ever-present, ready to work wonders beyond their wildest dreams.

“About one in 4,000 to one in 6,000 babies are born with giant omphalocele,” said Dr. James Fisher, pediatric and fetal surgeon at Midwest Fetal Care Center and Children’s Minnesota.
“I still can't believe that she's here with us and she's doing great,” Danielle said. “I just want her to have the most normal life that she can have.”
Hunter added, “And just to do everything that she ever wants to do.” After undergoing several surgeries and spending the first 124 days of her life in the hospital, Hallie was sent home!
As Hallie continues to grow and thrive, her parents remain steadfast in their belief that miracles do happen. Their journey, marked by faith and perseverance, is a powerful reminder of the extraordinary power of belief.
These days, Hallie loves bubbles and splashing in the bath. “She’s a spitfire,” her mother said. She’s learning to talk and give kisses.
