There are many household items that have nostalgia for us. After many visits to my grandma’s house over the years, there are definitely specific things that bring me down memory lane and remind me of her. And some of those older trends, from house décor to kitchen items, are having a resurgence and coming back in style! How many things from the list below did your grandma have in her home? How many of them do you now have in yours?

Grandma's House Had Pink-tiled Bathrooms

It’s likely that your grandma had some kind of color-tiled bathroom, specifically, pink tile! It didn’t matter if the house was built in 1920 or 1950, pink tile was all the rage back then. In addition, her bathroom most likely had some toilet rugs, decorative hand towels, and don’t forget toilet paper covers!

Loud Clock

Whether it is a cuckoo clock or grandfather clock, Grandma had some sort of loud clock in her house to remind her of the time.

Grandma’s cooking always hit the spot! And she had plenty of casserole dishes, usually with some floral print on them, to cook up something delicious for the family.

Grandma’s kitchen wasn’t complete without her signature Tupperware set. But we could also find her using old butter containers to store food in the fridge!

You could always count on Grandma to have hard candies at the house for her visitors to enjoy! And they were always placed in her iconic candy dish.

Seeing a rotary phone, or any landline phone for that matter is a rare sight in today’s homes. But that was the only thing that Grandma would use to make calls back in the day. It still brings me back to her house whenever I see one.
