“It was a totally normal pregnancy up until that point," Rachel said. “Everything was fine - I’d just had my 20-week scan and found out it was a girl. It all happened really suddenly.”[rsnippet id="3"] As it turns out, a spontaneous rupture of the membrane is what brought Marley Carter into the world well before her due date. Her premature appearance and tiny size had both doctors and her parents on edge.

“I got to hold her for the first time when she was about three weeks old,” Rachel laments.But through it all, little Marley kept fighting. And after two months in the hospital, the tiny warrior finally turned a corner!
"She was really feisty - it was amazing," Rachel said. "She is an absolute miracle."The miracle baby weighed less than a bunch of grapes at birth, but now weighs a much healthier 4lbz 10oz.
