'Please Pray': Mac Powell of Third Day Pleads For Prayers After Wife Suffers Brain Aneurysm

Christian celebrity Mac Powell of Third Day fame is asking everyone to 'please pray' as his wife fights for her life following a sudden brain aneurysm.

You just never know when life can take a sudden and sharp turn. And when Aimee, wife of Third Day singer Mac Powell, started complaining of a terrible headache, they experienced the unpredictability of life first hand.

Aimee's pain eventually became so unbearable, her worried husband called for an ambulance. He reported the scary turn of events on his Mac Powell Instagram page, pleading with fans to "please pray".

A CT scan revealed bleeding on Aimee's brain, which doctors believed to be an aneurysm. Mac explained how his wife's medical team performed a procedure, placing two coils in Aimee's brain to help “keep the aneurysm from bleeding and possibly rupturing."

In the meantime, the Third Day singer relied on prayers and his faith in God to carry him and his family through this scary time.

Mac Powell Of Third Day Asks For Prayers

Prayers and well wishes for Aimee flooded in on the Mac Powell Instagram page, which helped bolster the family's spirits as they waited to see how things would play out.

"We are OVERWHELMED by the encouragement and love we are receiving," Mac wrote in one update. "We hear and feel your prayers."

Instagram is also where the "Soul on Fire" singer continued to provide updates on his wife's condition.

“Your prayers and well wishes are being felt! Positive progress today," he wrote one day when Aimee managed to eat some food and even stand up to take a few steps.

While there have been several steps in the right direction, the journey is a bit of a roller coaster. Some days start off well but then intense headaches and spells of feeling "fuzzy" will hit.

Continued Prayer Needed

Aimee will remain in the hospital under close medical observation, most likely for several weeks. But Mac Powell of Third Day remains confident in the power of prayers surrounding him and his family.

"Each day has been more positive than the day before," Mac wrote on Instagram. "She is in great medical hands and both Aimee and the kids are surrounded with family and friends. . . Please continue to pray."

"Again, assuredly I tell you, that if two of you will agree on earth concerning anything that they will ask, it will be done for them by my Father who is in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there I am in the midst of them." Matthew 18:19-20
