Couple Joyfully Welcomes 'One In A Million' Identical Triplets

These Identical Triplets Are A True Miracle!

You can definitely consider Amber and Logan's newborn babies three little miracles. And it's not just because of an ovarian cyst that overshadowed the whole pregnancy. It's because the girls are identical triplets -- an occurrence that's so rare, doctors put the odds at one in a million! And though many people give the 19-year-olds a hard time for being such young parents, the two are over the moon to have been blessed with three healthy little girls: Raelyn, Avery and Elaina. A Terrifying Discovery

The concern came after the first ultrasound. In addition to finding three babies, the doctors also found a basketball sized mass. It was an ovarian cyst, which had twisted inside of Amber, causing the worst pain she'd ever experienced.
"I was so scared I could lose the babies," Amber said. "I bawled the whole way home."
Amber had to have the ovary and the cyst removed while she was still pregnant. It was a terrifying experience, but God has His hand on these little girls right from the start!

Another Scare

The next scare came when Amber was rushed to an emergency c-section at 33 weeks. Credit: Rebeca Bagdocimo / The Oregonian Though delivery at this time of the pregnancy is fairly typical for triplets, doctors had called for the immediate c-section because they were having trouble finding one of the girls' heartbeats. And once they found it, the tiny beat dropped dramatically. "I was so happy, my heart was full and I was totally in love," Amber said. "I want to  be with them all the time. It's hard to be away from them."

A Miraculous Surprise

But God had another special surprise in store. As the new parents looked down at their three precious girls, three identical faces looked back up at them! The discovery completely shocked the doctors. Amber had delivered identical triplets! Credit: Rebeca Bagdocimo / The Oregonian It's such a rare scenario that there aren't any official statistics. Making it even rarer is the fact that Amber was not on any type of fertility treatments. Amber's doctor, Neonatologist Dr. Craig Novack, estimates the likelihood of having identical triplets at one in a million!

Haters Gonna Hate

Because of Amber and Logan's age, they've already faced their share of young-parent discrimination. Many of their friends were none too pleased to hear the couple was expecting.
“A lot of our friends weren’t very supportive at first,” Logan said. “They were all like, “You are too young, you are not ready.’”
Likewise, they've gotten a lot of heat on their personal Instagram accounts. But the two aren't spending too much time focusing on what the haters have to say.
“It’s not going to do much good getting into a fight with someone,” Logan explained. “They don’t know who we are. They have never met us, so they have no idea whether we are too young. We are both pretty mature for our age. And we know what we are doing.”

"It melts my heart knowing that they survived," Logan said.
And so, the young couple is drinking in every moment with their little angels, waiting until they are big enough to take home. The community is chipping in to support them, and the two have dreams of getting married in the near future. God bless this sweet family. They may be young, but we know God will provide!
"Behold, children are a heritage of Yahweh. The fruit of the womb is his reward. As arrows in the hand of a mighty man, so are the children of youth. Happy is the man who has his quiver full of them. They won't be disappointed when they speak with their enemies in the gate." Psalms 127:3-5

Seeing what this teen mom did to save her unborn baby is truly moving!
