In Minersville, Pennsylvania, a man risked his life and climbed up a three-story building to save his neighbors from a house fire.

According to WFMZ-TV, on April 14th, in his backyard in Minersville, Oscar was playing outside with his children when he heard a "boom." He then ran to the front yard and saw that the house across the street was on fire. And the neighbors were still in it.
The Morning Call reported that a woman was trying to pull a man out of the attic window.
Oscar feared the fire department wouldn't arrive in time and decided to help. Oscar and another neighbor rushed over with a ladder. "My neighbor came and he got the ladder. We put it right there, and then that's when the adrenaline came, and I just started jumping, jumping, jumping," Oscar said. He went into rescue mode, knowing they needed to help save their neighbors from the house fire in his Pennsylvania city.

The man yelled, "Help me, I can't walk," and Oscar pulled him from the window.
The smoke was powerful, as you can see in the video filmed by eyewitness Janeen Huth. You can hear her yelling, "Come on! Come on!" as the firefighters are seen trying to get to the man and the other neighbor on the roof.
In the video, we can see Oscar on the roof trying to get to the man. "Oscar is a true hero," Janeen told The Morning Call. And he definitely is. Not everyone would have risked their own life to save someone from a fire. But he jumped, quite literally, into action.
"I looked at the guy, he was on top of the roof, like on the window sticking out, saying help me, help me," Oscar recalled about the rescue. "At the moment, I wasn't scared. I just wanted to save him. That's what I wanted to do."
