A kind and generous woman hit it big, winning millions playing the lottery for the first time. Her big win comes years after the young lady gave everything she had to charity.
Large sums of money have a way of changing people. Whenever individuals are blessed financially, oftentimes this can lead to poor decisions that only exacerbate problems that existed prior to the money. It can also cause people to feel superior, erroneously believing them better than others.

However, there are other occasions when people use their fattened banked accounts for good. Some people use their wealth to help others, donate to charitable causes or support other worthwhile causes and endeavors.
Juliette Lamour, an 18-year-old Canadian woman, likely falls into that second group.
Juliette has come into a ton of money. The university student, who recently turned 18 years old, bought a lotto ticket and to her surprise won $48 million Canadian dollars (nearly $36 million USD), according to Good Morning America.

After learning she was the big winner, Juliette admits she didn’t know what to do.
“I didn’t believe it,” she said. “It felt so surreal. I was just in so much shock.”
As for what she plans to do with her money, Juliette states she’s “planning to do good things with the winnings.”
Given her history, likely that's something Juliette will do.
When Juliette was a child, at age 5, she gave all her money to charity to help people who had just been through a terrible ordeal, according to SooToday, an outlet in Juliette’s hometown.
The year was 2010. A devastating earthquake had just struck the country of Haiti, thousands of people in the tiny nation were killed. The need at that time was very great.
While at a hockey game in her hometown, soon after the earthquake in Haiti, Juliette and her younger sister gave everything they had to help. The little girls opened their piggy bank, giving $61.38 to the Red Cross, who was collecting money at the game.
