Granny's Christmas Ornaments Have The Whole Family Cracking Up

One family got quite the surprise when they learned that their granny's Christmas ornaments weren't quite what she thought they were! (If you'd prefer to listen to the audio version of this story, scroll to the end of this article to find the podcast version below!)

The granddaughter was admiring the 74-year-old grandma's tree when she noticed something different about some of the glittery ornaments on the Christmas tree. When she pulled one down to investigate, they all got quite a laugh!

Unbeknownst to the grandmother, the ornaments she's bought weren't just sparkly lavender Christmas ornaments with a pretty ribbon on top.

The Christmas tree ornaments were actually the clear plastic kind. So the granddaughter, Alex, pulled the ornament down from the tree to take a peek at what was inside.

She realized what her grandmother did not. That the purple glitter 'design' was actually something that was inside the clear plastic ornament. So she twisted the ornament at the seam to see what was inside.

And that's when Alex revealed the surprise that made them both crack up!

Inside the ornament was a pair of very strappy underwear! The granny had no idea she'd hung undies on her Christmas tree for everyone to see!

Alex uploaded some pictures of her granny's Christmas ornaments hilarious mishap to the internet where folks on Twitter made the funny pictures go viral.

Alex said her grandma laughed wondering what the store clerk must have thought of the 74-year-old grandma buying the lingerie ornaments. She added, "I bought six of them."

I could totally see something like this happening to my family, can't you? (And the undies in the plastic ornament reminds me so much of the eggs that L'eggs pantyhose used to come in!)

We love that Alex and her grandma could laugh about this funny blunder. I bet this becomes a holiday memory they'll treasure for years.

If the grandma had let pride get in the way she wouldn't have been able to laugh at herself.

Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up.
- James 4:10

If the granddaughter had spoken harshly to her grandma, she could've angered or embarrassed her grandmother.

So speak encouraging words to one another. Build up hope so you'll all be together in this, no one left out, no one left behind. I know you're already doing this; just keep on doing it.
-1 Thessalonians 5:11

What a prime example of not sweating the small stuff this holiday season! Someone may get two of the same gifts or someone may open the wrong gift. And you could end up with three fruitcakes and no pie, or a string of lights that dies right in the middle of your tree.

But none of those things really matters.

We all know the REAL reason for the season. Am I right?
