A long-treasured photo from 1953 showed Amy's granny in her wedding dress on the day she married the love of her life, Jack. And while Amy and her mom rooted around in the attic, they found the beautiful dress packed away.

The love Ruth and Jack shared was strong. And Ruth had a really hard time when Jack passed away in 2000.

Holding the dress from that treasured photo gave the family an idea. They had Ruth put it on, only to find it still fit perfectly!

Ruth's daughter snapped a new picture of granny in her wedding dress, holding the picture from 1953. And what a touching sight it was.

Amy decided to share the heartwarming photo on social media. And folks from far and wide gushed over the inspiring picture!

"My grandma Ruth stayed married to my grandpa Jack his entire life until he died in 2000," Amy Buchan Kavelara wrote in her post on Facebook. "She misses him every day. They had a love that spanned the ages. People should know this kind of love is real and is worth waiting for."
