Bride Has A Special Surprise When Granny Got Sick On Her Wedding Day

Granny Had Heart Attack Before Wedding

What was supposed to be a joyous day quickly turned into a nightmare. Florida bride, Jessica Brown was devastated when her Granny got sick the night before her wedding. But the devoted granddaughter wasn't about to let Granny miss out on the big day! Harris, 70, helped raise Jessica and was more like a parent. Brown said not having her present at the wedding was

"probably one of the hardest things I've had to do."

With Granny unable to make the ceremony, it only felt right to find a way to bring the special day to her.

Jessica and the family realized they needed to do something big.  They tried to think of ways like using Facetime to have Harris still be a part of the wedding event. That's when Jessica's sister came up with the winning idea.

Making A Special Appearance

“My sister said that if I went up there in my dress it would make us both feel better and make her night," Jessica said. "I needed no convincing."

Bouquet in hand, Jessica and her new husband, Tyler made a late night visit to Harris at the Jacksonville hospital where she was recovering. The newlyweds along with several of the wedding party and family were determined to bring the celebration to her! [/slide]

“My granny is the sweetest woman and has a hug so full of love that it makes the whole world feel OK,” Brown told ABC News. “To finally hug her lifted my heavy heart.”

"After the amazing day it only felt right to go visit her granny in the hospital so she could see her granddaughter in her wedding dress! It was a sweet, beautiful and emotional moment but so glad I caught it on film!" Amanda said.

We're sure it did much more for her grandmother and created a beautiful first memory for the Jessica and Tyler as husband and wife.

A Prayer for Unity in the Church This Christmas - Your Daily Prayer - December 22

It’s easy to take offense when someone hurts you, or you’re frustrated with where you are in life, and it seems as though everyone around you is thriving. But, when we take an honest look at ourselves and see how God loves us (1 Corinthians 13), we realize we have no right to hold any grudges against our brothers and sisters.
