Garth Brooks performs the story of an unborn baby reassured by God that the world it is about to enter is not scary because of 'Mom'.

Garth Brooks is vocal about his love of this song. He shared in an interview on Good Morning America just how much this song means to him.

'The Dance' is my favorite Garth Brooks song ever, but if there was ever a song that could ever rival it — just because of the context of it... You know I'm a mama's boy."
