Legendary Football Player Joe Montana And Wife Take On Intruder Who's After Their Grandkid

Most people know the legendary football player Joe Montana for his time as a quarterback in the NFL. However, after a terrifying incident involving his grandchild, folks are now seeing a different side of the Hall of Famer. And one thing is for sure -- you don't mess with Grandpa Joe!

One Saturday afternoon, Joe Montana and his wife, Jennifer, were watching their grandchild. The couple's 9-month-old grandbaby was napping in the living room of their home in Malibu, California when things suddenly got intense.

A woman simply walked into the house! The stranger strolled right up to the playpen and picked up the sleeping baby. She headed upstairs with the child, which is where football player Joe Montana and his wife confronted her.

Grandparents Rescue Baby From Attempted Kidnapping

Joe Montana and wife, Jennifer, tried to de-escalate the situation. They asked the woman to give the baby back. But she refused.

And so, the grandparents did what they had to do in order to keep their grandchild safe!

"A tussle ensued and Mrs. Montana was able to safely pry the child out of the suspect's arms," the sheriff's department said.

The woman fled from the scene. But football player Joe Montana was able to flag down a police car who happened to be patrolling the area. They were able to apprehend the suspect and the 9-month-old baby is just fine.

Needless to say, the incident left Joe Montana and his wife shaken. But what a blessing that nothing more serious took place. Both Joe and Jennifer are incredibly grateful their grandchild is safe and sound.

To come so close to a kidnapping is certainly a terrifying ordeal. But thank God that Joe and Jennifer Montana were able to intervene and that everyone is ok.
