Every time I hear a TobyMac song I immediately begin to smile and I am encouraged. I love the upbeat, energetic music and the meaningful lyrics. Before becoming well known as TobyMac, Toby (Kevin) McKeehan brought Christian rap to mainstream music with DC Talk. Fans were shocked when the group comprised of Toby, Michael Tait and Kevin Max Smith disbanded on the peak of their popularity. Although I would love to see the four Christian singers come back together, they have each followed incredible paths and blessed many people. TobyMac’s first solo album was Momentum in 2001, which was nominated for a Grammy.

Favorite Lyrics
She said she's had enough
So, it sounds to me like your still out of love
And she said you weren't true
And life's not blowin' her kisses thanks to you
She said it's gonna be alright
Cause God made a way through the pain and he opened her eyes
And she said you came crawling back
But after what you did to her she wouldn't have any of that
Favorite Lyrics
We lose our way,
We get back up again
It's never too late to get back up again,
One day you gonna shine again,
You may be knocked down,
But not out forever,
Lose our way,
We get back up again,
So get up, get up,
You gonna shine again,
Never too late to get back up again,
You may be knocked down,
But not out forever
Favorite Lyrics
Woke up in a sweat, those ghosts in my head
Had a grip, but I slipped on by
It's a whole new day as the darkness fades
And the sun's climbing in the sky
I concede, my love, that I need your love
I'm before you, a broken man
And it's only You, no substitutes who can renew the soul again
Favorite Lyrics
Where would I be?
You rescued me
You are mine, I am Yours
You rescued me
And I am Yours forever
You saved me, remade me,
Where would i be?
Favorite Lyrics
Now come to the city where you can praise
If you're black, if you're white, if you're yellow or grey
In the morning, in the night, anytime of day
What's that place – Diverse City
With curls in your hair and braids on the side
Straight shake'em loose, just come on and ride
We're a body with parts, like you and me
Together we make diversity
Favorite Lyrics
If You wanna steal my show
I'll sit back and watch You go
If You got somethin' to say
Go on and take it away
Need You to steal my show
Can't wait to watch You go, oh, oh
So take it away
Favorite Lyrics
Can't feel like any night before
Under a sky full of stars
With hearts that want more (Tonight)
Like a river no dam can hold
Being driven by a source overflowin' our souls (Tonight)
Won't be like any night we've seen
It changes everything
Everything
Favorite Lyrics
So speak Life, speak Life.
To the deadest darkest night.
Speak life, speak Life.
When the sun won't shine and you don't know why.
Look into the eyes of the brokenhearted;
Watch them come alive as soon as you speak hope,
You speak love, you speak...
You speak Life, (oh oh oh oh oh oh) You speak Life. (oh oh oh oh oh oh)
Favorite Lyrics
If you gotta start somewhere
Why not here?
If you gotta start sometime
Why not now?
If we gotta start somewhere
I say here
If we gotta start sometime
I say now
Favorite Lyrics
That I was made to love You
I was made to find You
I was made just for You
Made to adore You
I was made to love and be loved by You
You were here before me
You were waiting on me
And You said You'd keep me never would You leave me
I was made to love
And be loved by You

I am a Christian writer and editor that lives in northern Michigan and thoroughly enjoy music, movies, TV shows, books and other entertainment with a Christian focus. My favorite song is "Oceans" by Hillsong United because it reminds me that has big plans for me and everyone else who puts their trust in Him. There are many movies that have impacted my life, but a few include God's Not Dead, The Shunning and Letters to God. I also write for www.faithandentertainment.com and love connecting with readers, so please don't hesitate to contact me! When I'm not writing I enjoy watching movies and laughing with my busy toddler and husband.
