Don't let his grumpy face fool you. Otitis, a 10-year-old deaf, earless cat, is about as sweet as they come. But because of his age and special needs, no one seemed to want to take a chance on him. That is, until he met Molly. And the sweet kitty found a special way of repaying his new human!
As Otitis got older, his ears were removed because of cysts, which left him deaf. His former owner didn't have the means to address the cat's health issues, and turned him over to a shelter.
It was starting to look like Otitis was destined to spend the rest of his days in a cage at the shelter, lonely and unwanted. But then Molly found him!
Molly suffers from an anxiety disorder. And after a car accident, Molly was really struggling with panic attacks. She'd grown up on a farm, so animals had always been a part of her life. And she decided a cat was just what she needed to help her cope.
"I decided it was time for me to adopt an animal to help with my anxiety, because nothing helped me more than snuggling some furry friends," Molly said.
Molly's online research led her to Otitis. She knew he was meant for her the moment she saw him. And it was clearly not by chance that the two found each other.
God gave Molly a heart for special needs animals. She knew the extra time and expense they required usually made it difficult for these pets to find a forever home. She'd even owned a deaf pup before. So, it's obvious God had a special purpose in bringing these two together!

Molly was the first person to ever ask about adopting Otitis. When she got him home, Molly showered the kitty with love. And by day two, he was right at home!
Molly says Otitis is a regular snuggle bug. Despite his age, he's as playful as any kitten. And thanks to his loving, frisky nature, Molly's life, which was riddled with anxiety, has changed.
"He is my Emotional Support Animal and always snuggles me at night and when I'm very stressed or having a panic attack," Molly said. "He is some times the only thing that can calm me down at times. He's the best thing I ever did and he definitely rescued me, I didn't rescue him."
The pair is inseparable. And there's no question that God brought Otitis and Molly together!
