In this positive news story, a dog saves a child from drowning when no one else can. And there's no doubt God put this furry angel in the right place at the right time!
Sweet Max isn’t the usual angel. He’s covered in fur, has four legs, and loves to wag his tail. He happened to be out doing what water-loving dogs do best when he helped a scared child who was drowning.

Max, a Staffordshire terrier/bulldog mix was out with his owner enjoying the beach. A day full of sun, tail wagging, and swimming doggie style. Because Max loves the water so much, his parents Jamie and Rob Osborn got him a life jacket of his own so he doesn’t get too tired playing in the waves. He spends his days swimming next to his folks as they kayak or snorkel.
But this water-loving pup did something extraordinary. As soon as his parents let him off his leash, he immediately dove into the waves. He couldn’t wait to get into the water.
Rob didn’t think anything of Max’s eagerness until Rob saw a boy struggling to get to shore. Then Rob realized his dog was in the perfect position to go on a mission and save this child from drowning!

“Max was just swimming around, wearing his life jacket, having a great time when the young boy got into trouble. Rob had the boy call Max over. Max was just doing what he loves best — swimming,” Jamie recalled.
And just like that, Max pulled the little boy to shore. The sweet dog became a hero for saving this child from drowning. But his parents say he doesn’t know that. He just knows his family is smiling at him more, giving him more love, and of course, more treats.
But this wasn’t the only person he saved that day.
Later, his older brother Nev was also struggling to get to shore and Max brought him to safety too. We sure hope this furry angel continues to get extra love and treats! God put this special pup in the right place at the right time.
