Sam Buhr is a cop in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. He had stopped a delivery driver because of a traffic violation but ended up having to arrest him for an outstanding warrant. After the arrest, Sam went on to deliver the food to the people that ordered it!
"I know I'm not who you were expecting, but your driver got arrested for some things he didn't take care of," said Officer Buhr to the person he dropped off two bags of Arby's for. The whole interaction was caught on a doorbell camera. And the resident was cracking up when she realized what was happening.
Now that is something that you don’t see every day! But it is great that the officer didn’t let the food go to waste or have the DoorDash customer wondering where their meal had gone.
The Sioux Falls Police Department commended Officer Buhr for his attention to serving the public. "While delivering food is not a normal part of police work, helping people is," the department said in a statement.
