Curvy Woman Speaks Out On Being Body-Shamed For Having Handsome Husband

Social media doesn’t always bring out the best in people. Like when Internet trolls went after a “curvy wife” married to “Mr. Six-Pack.” But talented photographer and blogger Jenna Kutcher is inspiring us all with how she responded to the cruel body-shaming.

God can use anything in our life and use it for good. And Jenna Kutcher is a prime example of Him doing just that!

Curvy Wife Body-Shamed Over Husband’s 6-Pack

Jenna is a talented wedding photographer and blogger. She’s also happily married to a man named Drew, who works as a health business coach. From all accounts, Jenna and Drew appear to be a happy couple very much in love. Sadly, though, in today’s world, some people just can’t stand to see other people happy.

Jenna recalled a day when she received a direct message from someone who couldn’t believe Jenna had “managed to land a guy as good looking” as her husband.

Even though this person was a stranger, their words hurt. This world tells us all too often that we won’t ever be good enough. And like so many women, Jenna already battled insecurity over body image without the help of social media body-shaming.

“Part of my insecurity with my body has stemmed around being married to Mr. 6-Pack himself,” Jenna confessed. “Why should I, a curvy girl get him?”

Thankfully, Drew knows all too well just how wonderful his wife is.

“This man has embraced every curve, every dimple, pound and pimple for the last ten years and has always me reminded me that I’m beautiful even when my inner dialogue doesn’t match,” Jenna said.

But Jenna isn’t just beautiful because her husband says so. In fact, her beauty isn’t about what’s on the outside.

“I am so much more than my body, so is he, and so are you,” Jenna Kutcher wrote in her now-viral Instagram post.

Wife Opens Up About Battling Insecurity

One of the best things about Jenna Kutcher is that her entire platform is about inspiring and encouraging others. As a blogger, she opens up about struggles from her own life, like what it’s been like to suffer two miscarriages in as many years.

“I’ve struggled my whole life to love my body, something that started when I was a gymnast at a young age,” she said. “I think deep down, as women, our biggest fear is that we aren’t enough, that our bodies are broken, and after walking through two losses, I was really struggling to ‘come home’ to my body.”

And Jenna’s struggle to love and accept her body is a battle many women face each day. Jenna never intended to go viral. But her candid post about the body-shaming she’s endured as the “curvy wife married to Mr. Six-Pack” was her way of reminding folks that “true love doesn’t see size.”

“I had never shared that part of my insecurity before,” Jenna said. “Sure, I struggled with my weight and my body image, but I had never talked about how it was being married to such a handsome man and feeling less than.”

To Jenna’s surprise, her Instagram beach photo went viral. And it’s a beautiful example of God taking something as painful as Jenna’s experience with body-shaming and turning it into real-life inspiration!

Curvy Wife Married To Mr. Six-Pack Inspires Us All

Jenna’s willingness to be open and vulnerable really struck a chord with folks. Sure, there were some trolls who continued to say hurtful things. But there was an overwhelmingly uplifting response to what Jenna had to say about her body-shaming experience.

Words of encouragement and praise poured in. And all the sudden attention caught Jenna and Drew off guard.

“While we don’t feel like our story is newsworthy, we’re honored to get to inspire others and to hopefully share more of our journey in owning our self-worth and set an example of what marriage should look like,” Jenna wrote on her blog.

And it just goes to show the wonderful way God can use anything! The body-shaming comments directed at Jenna Kutcher were intended for harm. And yet, God turned everything around and gave Jenna the opportunity to inspire others.

“We’ve gotten to share our message with the world, a message of positivity. From loving yourself more to finding your worthiness to the simplicity of just a darn good, normal marriage,” Jenna wrote on her blog.

Jenna is a lovely woman who is blessed to have a husband who values her. But she’s quick to point out that it’s not safe or healthy to rely on someone else for acceptance and self-worth. Jenna, like each and every one of us, is a child of God. And it’s through Him that we all are made perfect!
