A dog really is man’s best friend. Especially in Rudy Armstrong’s case. This chihuahua saves his veteran, and it's a heartwarming story worth sharing!
Rudy lives in North Carolina with his pet chihuahua Boo-Boo. Boo-Boo and the veteran started their day on the houseboat where they live just like any other day. But later in the day things took a turn for the worst.

“I sat down in my chair, drank my coffee, the next thing I know was after lunch,” Rudy said. “And I couldn’t even get my hand to move and my foot wouldn’t move.” Rudy came to the realization that he was having a stroke. He tried to reach his phone for help, but couldn't.
That’s when he turned to his furry companion for help.
"I didn’t want to be there for a couple of days before somebody would come by," the veteran said, "So I said, 'Ok Boo-Boo, go get me some help,'”
The chihuahua ran out of the houseboat and found The Dockmaster and returned with him to where Rudy waited. The Dockmaster was able to get Rudy the medical help he so desperately needed. Paramedics arrived and rushed Rudy to the nearby hospital, where Rudy became a bit of a celebrity!
"We thank him for his service to our country and for allowing us the privilege of caring for him and sharing his story of Boo-Boo, the miracle pup," wrote the hospital in a post shared on Facebook.

Rudy now can continue his happy life with his best friend.
