In Sandston, Virginia, a Chick-fil-A opened on Sunday. But it wasn't to sell more beloved chicken sandwiches. The restaurant opened its doors so a displaced church would have somewhere to worship the Lord!
“Upon arriving to our current worship location we found that the building has condemned signs on the door,” the church said. “The only legal use of any of the spaces are for the Econo Lodge to conduct business. We obviously do not have church this morning.”Because of building issues, the County had temporarily shut the hotel down, leaving the White Oak Community Church in a scramble to find a new meeting space. The displaced church, however, kept a positive attitude, trusting in God to provide.
"Know that this is only a minor setback," read a post on the church's Facebook page. "Often God sandblasted us out of places in order for us to see the next great thing that he has for His church. A little frustrated this morning, but excited for what God has for our future!"RELATED: Divine Intervention Sent Choking Man In Chick-Fil-A To A Special Angel And God certainly came through!
“No they are not serving food... You cannot order chicken biscuits at Chick-fil-A next Sunday,”Lead Pastor Dave Wilde joked in a video posted to Facebook.Around 30 folks showed up at the restaurant to praise God. And the temporary arrangement with Chick-fil-A ensures the church won't skip a beat while leadership finds a permanent meeting space. No matter the obstacle, there's always hope for those who trust in God! h/t: Christian Headlines YOU MAY ALSO LIKE: 10 Things We Can Learn From Chick-fil-A Founder Truett Cathy
