Actor Charles Sheen and actress Denise Richard’s daughter Lola shared about getting baptized on social media. The 19-year-old also opened up in another post about why she got baptized and how lost and hopeless she had felt the previous year.
Lola shared in her post on Instagram about how when she “was in my deepest depression, there was a moment where I realized I hit rock bottom. I felt so lost and hopeless, and was just doing my best to make it to the next day. I just accepted my life was going to be like that forever, and thought I would never genuinely laugh again.”

That was when things changed, and she met Jesus, who changed her life forever. “I can’t really explain it other than it was supernatural, but Jesus met me exactly where I was, and He forever became my sun,” she shared. Lola trusted Jesus with her life. He gave her a light and truly recused her.
It is such a joy to hear when anyone finds Jesus. Their life forever changes, and they find the peace that passes all understanding. What a fantastic thing for Lola to experience. It is no wonder the next thing she wanted to do was be baptized.
She continues in her post to share that Jesus saved her from battling anxiety and gave her a “peace that makes no sense.” She ends her post by talking about why she chose to get baptized at the beginning of the year. " Because I made it through this year only by the strength of Jesus, and I am so happy to go into this next year after publicly declaring Jesus as my Savior. I am forever saved by His grace, through Faith.”
Although Lola’s parents, Charlie and Denise, are no longer married—they divorced in 2006—they seem to get along. “We get along,” Denise shared with PEOPLE back last spring. “We have a good relationship.”
We pray for Lola as she embarks on her journey with Christ and all the blessings of following him.
