You're Not Alone In The Heartache Of Miscarriage

There is no joy like holding a newborn baby for the first time. As we count their little toes and kiss their chubby cheeks we sometimes wonder what will they grow up to be and what difference they will make to the world. But all too often this dream is cut short and ended because of miscarriage. And for some reason, we suffer this pain in silence. Why do women not share this pain and let those around them support them in their grief?   [rsnippet id="3"] It’s time that we speak up about this painful and heart-wrenching loss that many women have endured. These celebrities have experienced miscarriages, too and they want you to know that you’re not alone.

1. P!nk

Monica Schipper via Getty Images P!nk told the world about her pregnancy with her baby girl in 2010 episode of "The Ellen DeGeneres Show." She admitted that she had delayed making the announcement any earlier because she had previously lost a baby. P!ink said,  "I didn't want to talk about it because I was just really nervous, and I have had a miscarriage before." [/slide]

2. Gwyneth Paltrow

It didn’t work out and I nearly died. So I am like, 'Are we good here or should we go back and try again?'" [/slide]

3. Beyoncé

Beyonce said it was,  "the saddest thing I've ever been through." "It's one of the reasons I did not share I was pregnant the second time, because you don't know what's going to happen. People Mariah’s first pregnancy with then-husband Nick Cannon ended in miscarriage. Later, while she was pregnant with her twins, she recalled the experience. "It kind of shook us both and took us to a place that was really dark and difficult," she said. [/slide]

Neither did my body," she wrote. "I so thoroughly convinced my body that it was still pregnant after nine months that I had milk coming from my breasts. I was still fat, I was still grieving, and I had just been told it was very possible I would never be able to have children. "We actually [hadn't] been trying that long," she added. "I don't know that I took it as seriously as I should have because it happened so fast. But then when I heard the doctor say there was no heartbeat it was like bam, like a knife through the heart [/slide]

"But through it all, Celine kept a positive attitude. "It’s life, you know? A lot of people go through this. We tried four times to have a child. We’re still trying. We’re on the fifth try, and I’ll tell you, if five is my lucky number, this fifth try has got to come in."
