Candace Cameron Bure's marriage almost seems like something out of a Hallmark movie. But it's not "luck" that got her relationship there. It's her faith.
Candace Cameron Bure, a star on the popular 90s sitcom “Full House” and a former host on “The View,” has been married to her husband Valeri Bure for 22 years! Also known for her role in many Hallmark movies and on Netflix's “Fuller House,” Candace opens up about how her faith plays such an important role in her lasting marriage.

“The reality is the glue for us is Jesus,” she shares in an interview with People. “It’s the Bible. You know, when there are arguments or we’re compromising and in ways, it’s always like, ‘Well, let’s just go back to the Bible.’ It’s the foundation for us. So it’s not about winning or losing. But doing this journey together.”
The couple met at a hockey game in 1994 and hit it off, after being introduced by Candace’s co-star Dave Coulier, who played Joey Gladstone in “Full House.”
Candace and Valeri married on June 22, 1996, and are parents to three children. Natasha was born in 1998, Lev was born in 2000, and Maksim was born in 2002.
The couple prioritizes having close relationships with their children. They value that their kids feel comfortable coming to them to talk about anything.
“It’s so important to engage with your kids constantly. I talk with them nonstop from really kind of intense and deep conversations to the fluffy stuff and the day-to-day,” explains Candace. “But it’s important to let them know that you’re there for them no matter what. As a mom, I’m always going to have an opinion, but not in a judgmental way, if that makes sense. I’m going to give my best advice as a mother, or my husband as a father. But we want to be open enough that they don’t feel scared to be able to talk to us.”
With the Bures celebrating 22 years of marriage last June, Candace wrote a sweet message to her husband in honor of their anniversary.
“There really is something special about growing old together,” wrote Candace. “I love you even more today than I did on our wedding day simply because I KNOW you, 24 years in the making. We’ve refined each other which only happens through sifting out the ugly to get to the beautiful. And while I don’t want the years to rush by, I’m looking forward to many more wrinkles and gray hair together. Because by then, only through your eyes will you still see me without them. I love you, baby.”
Such a beautiful, God-honoring marriage! And what wonderful thing to see Candace Cameron Bure using her platform to emphasize the importance of keeping Jesus at the center of your relationship.
