Candace Cameron Bure On Hardest Day At 'The View'

Candace Cameron Bure spent more than a year as a co-host on the popular daytime television program 'The View'. The show is made up of a panel of prominent women who discuss the trending topics of the day and share their differing opinions about them. Candace was the sole conservative voice on that panel and many, many times she was met with opposition for her stance on certain issues. However, in the end, the co-hosts felt nothing but love and respect for one another.  Read on to learn more about Candace Cameron Bure's hardest day on The View.

Now, Candace is back on the set to talk about her latest projects and to dish about her time on "The View." She got emotional as she shared a look back at one of her hardest days on set. You see, on that particular morning, there had been a shooting in San Bernardino, California. Candace lives in California, but she was on the other side of the US to tape "The View." Her children were in school at the time, and their school was placed on lockdown. Candace was so overcome with emotion, and only 10 minutes before showtime, Candace was a complete wreck.

That's when her co-host, Whoopi Goldberg, knocked on her dressing room door. Candace let Whoopi in and the two just silently hugged as Whoopi showed her support. In that moment, there were no differences of opinion, only love and empathy. Candace remembers crying into Whoopi's arms and the kindness that Whoopi showed. It's something that has stuck with Candace to this very day. I just love this inspiring display of kindness for someone in her time of need.
