Even after nurses and other medical professionals minimized it, a mother continued to seek care for her daughter when she was experiencing pain, which turned out to be a bite from a brown recluse.
Most parents will do anything and everything when it comes to the safety and well-being of their children. There is no task too tall or request too big when it comes to their child being sick, not feeling well and in need of medical care. Mothers and fathers will stop at nothing to ensure their children's health.

Jessica Calvillo is a mother who did that when her daughter complained of a pinch on her right arm and who later experienced a number of troubling symptoms, according to People.
For Jessica and her 9-year-old daughter, Adalynn McDowell, April 28 started out like every other day. While getting ready for school that morning, Adalynn mentioned to her mother that she felt something poking her in the right arm, according to a video posted on TikTok. Not thinking much of it, Jessica dropped Adalynn off at school.
However, things would soon take a dramatic and horrifying turn.

The social post mentions that around 1 p.m., Jessica received a call from the nurse at her daughter’s school. The nurse told Jessica that Adalynn “was in pain, shaking, and pale.”
The young woman now had a tiny, red and bruised spot on her arm. Jessica “immediately thought, ‘spider bite.’”
Being the attentive mother that she is, Jessica rushed Adalynn to an emergency room. However, Jessica’s fears were minimized. The nurse referred to the spot on the girl’s arm as “a pinch” and Jessica and Adalynn were sent on their way.
Refusing to accept that, Jessica took Adalynn to a second emergency room. Things didn’t go much better here. Jessica reports that the nurse asked her, “So what exactly do you want me to do?” Again, they were also sent home without receiving the care and answers they were seeking.

That entire night, the child was in severe pain. When she went to the restroom around 5 a.m., a large amount of blood was discovered. After this, Jessica and Adalynn went back to the second emergency room.
It was during their second trip to that emergency room when medical professionals finally diagnosed the problem. A brown recluse spider had bitten Adalynn. She was now experiencing a “systemic reaction.”
The venom caused a host of scary and frightening problems. Adalynn was experiencing “red blood cell breakdown, muscle breakdown, kidney issues” and “extreme swelling in her entire arm.”
Adalynn, the post mentions, spent six days in the hospital. She was kept under close watch, with blood drawn from her every four hours. The young woman had to undergo physical therapy to get her arm working again.
Once Adalynn was released from the hospital, she still faced a long road to recovery. In addition to continued physical therapy, the 9-year-old had several more doctor’s appointments and had to wear a bandage for three months.
Luckily, Jessica is happy to report that Adalynn is now back to her old self. She is playing softball and no longer has to do physical therapy.

Jessica says that her family’s faith has grown because of having gone through that horrifying ordeal. Jessica credits prayer with helping her in that situation.
"What gave me the strength to kind of get through this and be that strong person from my daughter was prayer," she said.
