Bikers are some pretty cool dudes (and dudettes). Usually they also have an image of being pretty tough. And it’s that “tough guy” persona that helps make this story so incredibly cute!
32-year-old biker and sheet metal worker, Pat Doody, was riding his motorcycle cross country from Nevada to New Jersey, when he stopped off to refuel. And there, in the parking lot, he found an injured kitten. He says,
"I was at this truck stop getting gas, and this little guy just needed help. He was pretty badly burned, so I picked him up and tucked him inside my vest."
Pat took the kitten to the vet and got him the medical attention he needed. He then gave the precious kitty the best name he could think of at the time. . .Party Cat.
And with Party Cat officially on the mend, Pat did what any good biker would do. He brought the kitten along as his unlikely road companion!
"He's been eating tuna fish out of those dry-foil packs you can buy, and his burns are pretty much all healed up except for the little spot on his lip. He's so chill. He just hangs out in my vest when we get on the road. I've never met a cat so calm."
Seriously, how awesome is that? While they may not be your typical pair, this adorable duo was clearly meant to be. And what a tender heart on Pat! He now gets to care for one of God’s creatures while he travels the country taking in God’s beautiful creations. Not a bad gig for Pat OR Party Cat, if you ask me!
